Your commercial roof must withstand some of the most demanding weather conditions in the country. Across Texas, intense summer heat, damaging hailstorms, sudden high winds, heavy rainfall, humidity, and rapidly changing storm seasons continually place stress on commercial roofing systems. Over time, even durable materials can weaken under these conditions.
When early signs of wear or damage begin to appear, choosing experienced commercial roofing professionals becomes essential. Business owners and property managers need dependable guidance, proven craftsmanship, and solutions designed for lasting protection rather than temporary repairs. That is why many Texas commercial property owners rely on Starr Roofing & Gutters, a trusted local team committed to thorough inspections, durable roofing systems, and honest service tailored to real Texas weather challenges.
If you operate a commercial property in Texas, you already understand how quickly conditions can impact a roof. Within a short period, roofing systems may face large hail impacts, heavy rain, prolonged humidity, and sudden temperature shifts. Even a well-built roof gradually weakens under repeated stress, and when small warning signs are overlooked, they often develop into costly structural problems.
Schedule your free roof inspection today to identify hidden damage early and protect your Texas commercial property with confidence.
EXCELLENT Based on 61 reviews Posted on Robyn BoltTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jay was amazing. I had water on my ceiling after my last storm. Jay came out to check it out for me. I was not comfortable with getting on my roof. He could have told me I needed a new roof but he was honest and said the water was coming from the vents and it just needed to be repaired. He sent me pictures and videos of the repairs as they were doing them. I would a 100% recommend this family owned companyPosted on Nicole HoustonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jay came out to take a look at my roof to assess potential damage from last September’s hail storm in the Austin area. He was helpful and nice and answered all my questions before and after the assessment. Impressed by his knowledge and expertise and if and when I need a new roof in the future, I’ll definitely be calling Jay and the team at Starr Roofing.Posted on Brian VickersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Communications was great throughout the project. They showed up when they said they were going to and finished the roof in one day. Jay from Starr was on site the entire day as was the crew supervisor. Cleanup was exceptional. I highly recommend Starr Roofing.Posted on George MoersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a positive experience with Starr from beginning to the end. Beautiful Roof!Posted on B OdomTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Two roofs done twelve years ago leaked. Identified poor "current" quality when I went on our recent roof installation and found incomplete tar paper placement as shingles were being nailed. Starr project lead/sales person told me not to be concerned about gaps in tar paper as purpose of tar paper is to prevent roofers from slipping. ***Until I started complaining their customer service was excellent, now they have stopped responding after written quality feedback about leaks. *** Wish them luck with regaining control over quality ethics and skills provided by their subcontractors. General Suggestion: Based on my recent experience, my suggestion for dealing with any roofing company is to NOT share the insurance estimate as roofer will estimate right up to that insurance company estimate. First get a bid from at least two roofers, then see how that lines up with the insurance estimate and perhaps get some upgrades within the insurance estimate. Also, confirm quality of material being placed on roof by the company as defined in the roofer estimate and compare between estimates. Roofers may be below the insurance estimate if they don't see the estimate. Probably no savings to you, but to "your" insurance company. So save money for your insurance company, or make the roofer happy. Last, but not least, if you are able, get up on the roof to see what is happening. Trust, but verify!

Constructing a new commercial building is a significant investment, and proper roof installation plays a vital role in protecting that investment for decades to come. A well-designed commercial roofing system must withstand intense Texas heat, powerful storms, and seasonal weather changes while maintaining long-term structural stability and energy efficiency.
Effective installation begins with high-quality underlayment, dependable moisture barriers, accurate ventilation planning, and precise structural alignment to ensure the entire system performs as intended from the very first day.
By following proven installation standards and applying careful, detail-focused workmanship, professional roofing teams help ensure your new roof begins its lifespan with maximum strength, durability, and long-term reliability. This strong foundation protects your commercial property from weather-related damage while supporting lasting efficiency, operational stability, and peace of mind.
Roof damage rarely appears suddenly. In most cases, it begins with small warning signs that gradually worsen if ignored, such as membrane wear, punctures, flashing failure, pooling water, or interior moisture stains that indicate hidden leaks. While these issues may seem minor at first, they can quickly develop into serious structural concerns when left unaddressed.
Timely commercial roof repair helps:
Identifying and repairing minor concerns early is one of the most effective ways to protect your property and long-term budget while avoiding costly emergency repairs.
Every commercial roofing system eventually reaches a stage where repairs are no longer the safest or most cost-effective solution.
When that time arrives, full commercial roof replacement provides stronger, more dependable protection especially in Texas, where extreme heat, hail, wind, and seasonal storms place continuous stress on aging materials.
Replacing a failing roof restores structural security and helps prevent hidden moisture damage, recurring leaks, and unexpected operational disruption.
Benefits include:
Experienced commercial roofing contractors guide property owners through material selection, scheduling, budgeting, and professional installation.
Texas storms can weaken roofing systems even when damage is not immediately visible. Strong winds may lift shingles, hail can bruise protective layers, and heavy rain can expose hidden leak points that slowly impact structural components over time.
Post-storm inspections and professional restoration services play an essential role to identify concealed structural or moisture damage, prevent gradual interior water intrusion, support accurate documentation for potential insurance claims, or even restore full roofing performance and protection.
Acting quickly after a storm helps prevent minor damage from developing into major structural repair. Whether you need targeted roof repair, full system replacement, or preventive maintenance, experienced roofing professionals are ready to provide dependable protection designed specifically for real Texas weather conditions.
Storms, hail, and sudden structural failures require immediate response.
Our emergency commercial roofing services are available to stabilize damage, prevent further water entry, and protect your business until permanent repairs are completed.
Emergency response may include:
Rapid damage assessment
Temporary roof tarping
Leak containment
Safety stabilization
Priority repair scheduling
Fast action protects both property and business continuity.
Selecting the right commercial roofing material directly influences durability, energy efficiency, maintenance, and long-term property value. Texas weather demands materials engineered for heat, storms, and seasonal change.
Professional guidance ensures your roofing system matches your building’s structure, design, and operational needs while delivering dependable long-term performance.
BUR systems provide multiple protective layers that improve waterproofing and durability. This traditional solution remains ideal for flat and low-slope commercial structures needing long-term resilience.
EPDM offers flexible rubber protection with strong resistance to UV exposure and temperature swings. It’s widely used in commercial epdm roofing services for cost-effective longevity.
Metal roofs deliver exceptional lifespan, storm resistance, and energy performance. Our commercial metal roofing services and commercial sheet metal roofing services support both modern and industrial building designs.
Modified bitumen combines durability with flexibility, making it reliable for heavy-traffic commercial roofs that require strong waterproofing performance.
PVC and TPO single-ply membranes are among the most energy-efficient and durable solutions used in modern commercial roofing services.
Silicone roof coatings restore and protect existing commercial roofing systems without full replacement. These seamless coatings resist ponding water, UV damage, and weathering while extending roof lifespan and reducing maintenance costs.
